FT – VENUE/PROMOTIONS DIRECTOR
Develop, market and promote CHEER venues, programs and services for revenue producing social and business functions. Oversee all aspects of event planning (internal/external events), management, marketing, administrative functions, financials and building security. Meeting with clients to work out event details, and plan the food, entertainment, staff and cleanup. Create and present event proposals to prospective clients. Maintain a comprehensive marketing program, including print, electronic and social media.
Minimum requirements for this position are: Associate’s degree and three years’ experience in event management, promotions and fundraising, capital campaigns, etc. or equivalent in education and experience; budgeting and reporting experience.
FT – ACCOUNTS PAYABLE COORDINATOR
Process approved Accounts Payable by verifying, coding and data entering to appropriate general ledger accounts. Reconcile, create and issue 1099s to appropriate contractors and government agencies. Assist with inputting Direct Care Worker timesheets into finance software. Reconcile Direct Care Workers’ payroll. May prepare reports analyzing accounts payable or expense accounts. Analyze purchase orders for accuracy. Responsible for petty cash distribution and reconciliation. Reconcile Senior Center bank accounts and maintain accuracy in finance software. Analyze, prepare and enter journal entry for allocation of postage expense from all Agency postage meters, maintain accuracy in finance software. Analyze, prepare and enter journal entry for allocation of postage expense from all Agency postage meters.
Minimum requirements for this position are: Minimum two year Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or 4 years’ experience in Payroll, General Ledger and A/P (degree preferred); Minimum of one year of working knowledge of personal computers/printers with spreadsheet programs (Excel preferred); Working knowledge of an automated accounting program and networks preferred (QuickBooks preferred).
FT – NUTRITION ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Assist Nutrition Department with administrative duties. Compile and prepare routine reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Monitor, create, verify and update homebound service units in data tracking software as needed. Create Nutrition purchase orders in accounting software. Order Nutrition supplies as requested. Perform physical kitchen inventory spot checks. Maintain Meal Packing Summary spreadsheet(s) as needed. Assist in maintaining facilities and IT work order system. Supervise 2 employees. Assist with Community Center receptionist duties during vacancies.
FT – OUTREACH WORKER (Georgetown/Milton)
Looking for talented individual to manage cases for CHEER’s homebound and senior population. Skilled in case management (assessments, documenting needs requirements, case notes), scheduling volunteers for meal delivery and willing to deliver for Meals on Wheels program. Must have a 2-year Associate’s degree or two years of experience in substitution of each year of education.
FT/PT – DIRECT CARE WORKERS
Provide personal non-medical in-home assistance to Sussex County’s senior population. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, up-to-date auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and every other weekend. Must pass background check, drug test, have 2-step PPD, and physical prior to start date.
PT – KITCHEN MANAGER (Milton-Wed/Fri)
Minimum 2-3 years cooking experience with ability to interpret documents and safety rules, able to multi-task in busy CHEER kitchen, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently. Experience with inventory and ordering preferred. Hours 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Pay commensurate with experience and qualifications.
PT – KITCHEN HELPER (Milton)
The applicant must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time while filling bags or cartons with portions of food, serving meals, transferring supplies and performing other administrative duties. Must be able to multi-task and follow basic kitchen duty directions. Hours are 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
PT – CLEANER (Ocean View)
Do you have the skills to mop floors and shine windows? Ocean View needs YOU! Monday-Friday afternoons, three (3) hours per day. $12 per hour.
PT – BUS DRIVER
Day time and occasionally other shifts in the evening and some weekends for special occasions when needed. Up to 20 hours per week. Must have current CDL License with passenger endorsement.
