DIRECT CARE WORKER
Provide personal non-medical in-home assistance to Sussex County’s senior population. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, up-to-date auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and every other weekend. Overtime hours available. Must pass background check, drug test, have 2-step PPD, and physical prior to start date.
VOLUNTEER SERVICE DIRECTOR
Someone to develop, formalize, promote and maintain the Volunteer Program. Skilled in recruiting and retaining volunteers, along with computer skills. Director is responsible for supervising the CHEERmobile program and medical transport operations. Interpreting and reporting statistics through ServTracker is required monthly.
CENTER DIRECTORS – ROXANA and MILTON
Full-time, Monday-Friday. Duties include: scheduling, computer entry, report writing with correspondence, planning and organizing activities for our congregate members. Strong computer skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is a must. Associate’s Degree required.
COMMUNITY CENTER RECEPTIONIST – FT
Full time receptionist for the CHEER Community Center in Georgetown. Responsibilities include operating the telephone switchboard, greet members and visitors as they enter the facility, handle all administrative assistant duties (i.e. making copies, addressing envelopes, distributing mail, purchasing office supplies, etc.) and recording all incoming checks. Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
PART-TIME CLEANER – OCEAN VIEW
Do you have the skills to mop floors and shine windows? Ocean View CHEER location needs you. Mon. thru Fri. afternoons, three (3) hours per day @ $12 per hour.
OUTREACH WORKER – LONG NECK
Talented individual to manage cases for CHEER’s homebound senior population. Skilled in case management (assessments, documenting needs requirements, case notes), scheduling volunteers for meal delivery and willing to deliver for Meals on Wheels program. Must have a 2-year Associate’s Degree or two years’ of experience in substitution of each year of education.
TRANSPORTATION ACCOUNTant
Prepares all daily agency deposits, compiles reports as required by Transportation Director, logs Transportation donations, coordinates the sale and distribution of DART Transportation tickets, creates Home Care billing in QuickBooks, prepares and submits Medicaid Waiver Home Care invoicing biweekly or as needed, processes payments in QB for Meals, Adult Day Program, and Home Care, and contributes to a team effort by performing other job-related duties as assigned.
VOLUNTEER OUTREACH WORKER
Looking for dynamic personality to recruit and retain volunteers and assist with the coordination of Nutrition outreach. This includes recruiting volunteers, maintaining and coordinating the activities of volunteers, assisting in determining homebound client eligibility and scheduling homebound volunteers.
CENTRAL KITCHEN COOK
Night Shift, 1 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at CHEER Central Kitchen in Georgetown, Del. Varied hours and occasional overtime when needed. Must have minimum 3-5 years of cooking experience with ability to interpret documents and safety rules. Applicants must be able to multi-task in fast-paced kitchen and have ability to lift minimum 50 lbs. ServSafe certified preferred.
KITCHEN MANAGER – milton (F-T) and ocean view (P-T)
Minimum 2-3 years cooking experience with ability to interpret documents and safety rules, able to multi-task in busy CHEER kitchen, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently. Experience with inventory and ordering preferred. Hours 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Pay commensurate with experience and qualifications.
KITCHEN HELPER – milton
Applicant must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time while filling bags and cartons with portions of food, serving meals, transferring supplies and performing other administrative duties. Must be able to multi-task and follow basic kitchen duty directions.
