In early June, Café Salud held a pet therapy event where they were able to interact with pets from PAWS for People. Additionally, Bobbi Jo from Volunteer Delaware 50+ guided members through the steps to make cat and dog toys from recycled materials. Café Salud members truly enjoyed the process of making each toy and are even more excited to be able to donate them.

Every one of the members got to pet a furry friend and learned more about the wonders of PAWS for People mission. The members were all very happy and grateful for Patty Thomas and her pet, Gracie; Glenda Spragg and her pet, Meili; Alicia DiDomenicis and her pet, Blue; and Kathryn Richards who brought her pet, Maisie. The teams truly put a smile on members’ faces, helped them relax to reduce stress. It created a warm uplifting experience!
The Members new furry friends were excited to take home their special handmade toys after the session. It truly was an amazing experience!
Café Salud would like to thank you PAWS for People and Volunteer Delaware 50+ for supporting the pet therapy session! Their time and dedication brought joy to our members.
