The initiative combats loneliness and supports well-being through simple, reliable conversation and compassionate support.
CHEER Kindness Rides
CHEER Kindness Rides is a Volunteer Medical Transportation Program that offers limited transportation assistance to eligible CHEER Members with no other means of transportation.
CHEER Kindness Calls
Kindness Calls is a friendly program that pairs trained volunteers with older adults for weekly phone visits. Think of it as having a pen-pal by phone. Participants choose their preferred day and time for the call. CHEER Connect is free for eligible Sussex County residents 50+.
