HOLOCAUST MUSEUM, Washington, DC - Tues., May 26, 2020
This is a permanent exhibit entitled "The Holocaust," and is divided into three parts - "Nazi Assault," "Final Solution," and Last Chapter." Upon entrance, visitors are issued an identity card with the name of a real person who was persecuted by the Nazis or their collaborators. You will be guided on a path through the three-level exhibit which contains photographs, artifacts, and audio and video footage, as well as large-scale installations, including a Polish rail car that was used to transport Jews to concentration camps and that visitors are allowed to board. Throughout the exhibit, visitors are given a chance to learn about the fate of the individual on their assigned identity card. Leave CHEER CCC, Geo. at 8 a.m. On your own until hour tour at 11:45 a.m., then on your own until DC departure at 3:30 p.m. Return to Georgetown approx. 6 p.m. Cost is $55/per CHEER member, $65 public.
