PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW - March 2, 2020

The theme for this year's show is "Riviera Holiday." It is inspired by the world's exotic Mediterranean Gardens. Join CHEER's Travel Club and bring back knowledge to help you create a Mediterranean inspired garden of your own. $65 per person. Lunch is on your own which will give you the opportunity to explore one of Philly's fine restaurants.

HOLOCAUST MUSEUM, Washington, DC - Spring 2020 (TBD)

This is a permanent exhibit entitled "The Holocaust," and is divided into three parts - "Nazi Assault," "Final Solution," and Last Chapter." Upon entrance, visitors are issued an identity card with the name of a real person who was persecuted by the Nazis or their collaborators. You will be guided on a path through the three-level exhibit which contains photographs, artifacts, and audio and video footage, as well as large-scale installations, including a Polish rail car that was used to transport Jews to concentration camps and that visitors are allowed to board. Throughout the exhibit, visitors are given a chance to learn about the fate of the individual on their assigned identity card. Cost is $55 per person. More details to come.

AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE MUSEUM, Washington, DC - Early Summer 2020 (TBD)

Located in the Smithsonian Institute Museum on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., this museum gives wonderful insight to the rich culture and contributions of the African-American in this country. Price and date to be determined soon.
