CHEER Takes Bus to Philadelphia Flower Show
The CHEER Travel Club will sponsor a bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show on Monday, March 13, 2017. The Flower Show has been a top destination horticultural event since 1829. It attracts thousands of visitors annually to the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
This year’s theme is “Holland: Flowering the World.” It will showcase the extraordinary plants, creativity and talent of this region’s top horticulturists and designers along with award-winning landscape and floral designers from the Netherlands. Towering windmills, wooden shoes and delectable cheese, whimsical bicycles, canals and vibrant tulip fields of the iconic Dutch landscape will all be showcased.
The bus will depart at 8 a.m. from the Warren L. and Charles C. Allen, Jr. CHEER Community Center at the corner of Rt. 9 and Sand Hill Road, east of Georgetown. It will return at approximately 6 p.m. Cost is $55 per person. Lunch will be on your own. The public is invited to enjoy this venture.
