Dear Members, Customers and Supporters of CHEER:
Our top priority at CHEER is the safety and wellbeing of each member, customer supporter and friend of CHEER. We recognize that CHEER is an essential part of the lives of many in our community and each of you are an essential part of CHEER. We all have an obligation and responsibility to protect and safeguard each other to the greatest extent that each of us are capable.
I want to assure each individual associated with CHEER that we are continuously monitoring the COVIDS-19 developments and taking appropriate actions. Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with State directives, we are CLOSING all CHEER Senior Citizen Activity Centers effective March 13, 2020. While our Centers will be closed for an indefinite period of time, many of the CHEER community services with continue to be available.
If you are a CHEER home delivered meal customer, you will continue to receive your meals although there may be some changes in scheduling
If you receive your meals at the CHEER center and you are capable of driving to and from the center location or able to get a ride, you may pick up a pre-packaged meal at the center between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM Monday through Friday. If your circumstances warrant, you may be temporarily eligible to receive home delivered meals on a limited basis, but you must contact CHEER to make arrangements in advance.
Please continue to monitor your local news media and also the CHEER website (www.cheerde.com) for updated information. You may also contact CHEER by phone at (302) 515-3040.
CHEER will continue to be available to help serve the needs of our senior citizen population as we work together to try and keep all members of our community healthy and safe. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
