Bobby Rogers has hardly had time to breathe since joining CHEER in October 2021 as Facilities Manager. Not long after beginning his duties, a pipe under the Ocean View center burst and water flooded the facility. Every week since then, Bobby has met with insurance adjusters, environmental specialists, plumbers and carpenters in order to get the center back open again. Target date is March so there are a lot of details he must attend to in order to meet that goal.
And then the snow came last week which caused additional challenges for Bobby. He had to oversee the clearing of parking lots for seven centers and shoveling and salting of sidewalks.
Every day when Bobby comes to work at CHEER, he doesn't know what will come during the day, nor does he know exactly where he will be working. With several facilities to maintain, there is always something to do.
CHEER appreciates the way Bobby has met his challenges and for his dedication to serving the seniors of Sussex County. He also serves the public in his personal time by volunteering with the Georgetown Fire Company. Thanks Bobby for choosing a career with CHEER.
